Most animals in our program need just routine veterinary care - vaccines, heartworm or FIV / Feline Leukemia "combo" tests, deworming, and spay / neutering. Occasionally, though, we become temporary guardians of animals in need of more serious medical help. Our adoption fees, donations, and fund-raisers will usually cover the cost of routine veterinary care for the many animals in our care, but to help the seriously ill or injured animals that make their way to WAG, we need additional funds. The stories of these "special needs" animals are described below. If one of their cases tugs strongly at your heart-strings, please consider making a special donation to WAG to help them.
