Wag Animal Rescue in the News: The News Herald

We have been helping animals throughout southeastern Michigan since 1988.

Find out about Volunteering

Because we do not have a shelter facility, WAG is dependent on select foster care providers to accommodate the needs of homeless animals until permanent placement is found. These very special volunteers are responsible for providing love and attention, as well as transporting the animals in their care to veterinary appointments and adopt-a-pet events. WAG pays for all necessary veterinary care, working directly with several local veterinary clinics. WAG is always in need of additional responsible foster care providers.

Help by fostering!

Foster a Pet

Fostering is a very heartwarming experience, and is by far the most direct way in which you can provide an opportunity for a life of happiness for an otherwise homeless animal. You'll most certainly be rewarded for opening your heart and your home by many wet, sloppy, puppy kisses and / or sweet kitty purrs!

Help us raise money at events!

Fundraising is vital for our continued ability to assist the homeless animals. A variety of events are held throughout the year, and WAG is always in need of volunteer time and talent. Fundraising includes community outreach events, such as promoting our services to the animals of the community by having a craft and information booth at the well-attended Wyandotte Street Art Fair.
